This is a series based on ancient and
contemporary maps of the Old City of Jerusalem, each with a different emphasis
on the perception of the area of less than a square kilometer as seen by
various religions. The temple Mount is prominent, decorated with gold leafs,
but not necessarily in its location; the size and placement of the other sites,
such as the Holy Sepulcher, are marked according to the mapmaker’s convictions,
reflecting desires which are stronger than geographical facts.
